LiberatorMAX® Fire Wireless Headset Series

The LiberatorMAX® Fire Wireless Headset Series from Setcom is designed to deliver reliable, mission-critical wireless communications for fire service and emergency response operations. Operating on a robust 900 MHz wireless platform, these headsets provide clear, hands-free communication across multiple channels while supporting scalable command and intercom systems.

This series includes multiple configurations to support different operational requirements, including fire transmit, radio transmit, intercom-only operation, standard or vented earcups, and 8- or 16-channel system compatibility.

Operational Overview

LiberatorMAX Fire wireless headsets are engineered for personnel operating in dynamic, high-noise environments where clear communication and situational awareness are critical. Depending on configuration, headsets can transmit over radio systems, function as intercom-only units, or integrate into multi-channel command networks.

Kit configurations include charging and mounting accessories to support organized storage and rapid deployment. Vented cup models are available for applications where hearing protection is not required.

Construction

Each headset is built using professional-grade components designed for durability and extended service life. Wireless electronics are housed in rugged enclosures suitable for fireground use. Standard cup models are intended for fire service operations, while vented cup versions are designed for environments where noise reduction is not required and hearing protection is not intended.

What is the warranty on these systems? Warranty on the LiberatorMAX Fire Apparatus System is two years from date of purchase. Please view our Warranty Guide for additional information. ▶
Do the headsets need syncing or pairing? No syncing or pairing is required. LiberatorMAX operates as a channelized system with sixteen (16) available talk-groups. Once a channel is selected, the headset and/or master station will remember the channel until manually changed. ▶
Do these come in a single-ear option? LiberatorMAX does not come in a single-ear configuration; however, Setcom offers a vented cup version for environments where situational awareness is important. The vented models include: CSB-902MAX Kit — Radio Transmit Version CSB-905MAX Kit — Intercom-Only Version ▶
Do the headsets have cell phone capabilities? No. LiberatorMAX headsets do not integrate with cell phones. The system is intentionally designed to be simple, rugged, and mission-focused without unnecessary features that complicate operation. ▶
What’s the range of the system? LiberatorMAX provides up to 1,500 feet of reliable range with clear line-of-sight. Actual performance may vary depending on obstructions, structures, terrain, and operating environment. ▶
